Choices
PPA offers choices for every dancer - from beginner to professional, there is a class and a program to fit every need.

Class and Company Descriptions
Fairy Tale and Princess Series - Ages 3 - 5. A beginning dance program with introduction to ballet, tap, and creative movement. Each 8-week session will focus on a Fairy Tale or Princess theme complete with story time in every class. At the end of each 8-week session, we will have a showcase open house for parents and friends featuring our little dancers in costume! The program fee is $135.00, which includes costume rental, a take home accessory, and 8 weeks of classes.
Mix - is a 1.5 hour Combination of Jazz, Tap, and Ballet for the 2nd year students coming out of Combo 5. Mix will be 5/6 year olds with a year of dance experience and want to continue with their dance training.
Block - is a 1.75 hour Combination Jazz, Tap, and Ballet for new 7, 8 year olds to the studio.
Level 1 Ballet, Tap, Jazz – standard level 1 classes.
Level 2 and Level 3 - standard level classes
Push Performance Company – The Push Company will be Level 2 and Level 3 students who are interested in performing in the studio and community. They will have a director who is responsible for 1 hour of rehearsal each week and choreography or organizing choreography for the students. The director will coordinate and direct all performance activities. Performances will include at least a Christmas performance, 1 in house performance at the studio and 1 community performance. The Push performance fees cover the expenses for up to 3.5 hours of classes, director fees, rehearsal time, choreography as well as the performances and recital at the end of the year. (minimum requirement is one Jazz, Tap, and Ballet)
Hip Hop I/II Crew – The Hip Hop Crews are for students who want to perform in the studio and community. They will have a director who is responsible for 1 hour of rehearsal each week and choreography for the students. The director will coordinate and direct all performance activities. Performances will include at least a Christmas performance, 1 in house performance at the Hip Hop Inter/ADV Crew studio and 1 community performance. The Hip Hop Crew fees cover the expenses for 1 hour class, director fees, rehearsal time, choreography as well as the performances and recital at the end of the year. (Requirements are one hip hop class and one year of HH experience unless invited by the director)
Inter or Teen HIP HOP Crew - The Hip Hop Crews are for students who want to perform in the studio and community. They will have a director who is responsible for 1 hour of rehearsal each week and choreography for the students. The director will coordinate and direct all performance activities. Performances will include at least a Christmas performance, 1 in house performance at the studio and 1 community performance. The Hip Hop Crew fees cover the expenses for 1 hour class, director fees, rehearsal time, choreography as well as the performances and recital at the end of the year. (Requirements are Hip Hop III or Teen HIP HOP and one year of HH experience unless invited by the director)
Adv HIP HOP Crew – The Hip Hop Crews are for students who want to perform in the studio and community. They will have a director who is responsible for 1 hour of rehearsal each week and choreography for the students. The director will coordinate and direct all performance activities. Performances will include at least a Christmas performance, 1 in house performance at the studio and 1 community performance. The Hip Hop Crew fees cover the expenses for 1 hour class, director fees, rehearsal time, choreography as well as the performances and recital at the end of the year. (Requirements are ADV HH class and invitation/audition by the director)
Performance
Progressions Ensemble – Level IV and V dancers. By invitation/audition. They will have a director who is responsible for directing the company, organizing and/or leading 3 to 4.5 hours of rehearsals a week, organizing at least five choreographed numbers of which some will be by outside choreographers, will coordinate performances in house and in the community as well as decide which numbers and conventions that the students might want to attend for competition. The director will also work with the students and parents in helping them understand a career in dance. The Company fees will include unlimited classes, director’s fees, rehearsal time, choreography, guest artist appearances, performance fees, as well as end of the year recital. (Requirements: 3 Ballet, 1 Jazz) Hip Hop Crew available for additional fee. All costume, competition and convention fees will be additional.
Competition
Twinkle Stars - Mix students (experienced 5 - 6 year olds) who want to get serious about competing. This team will compete, get choreography, and train together. They will have a director who is responsible for 1 hours of rehearsal a week, organizing at least two choreographed numbers, and taking them to the competitions. They will also be invited to participate in the Christmas performance as well. The Twinkle Stars' fees cover up to 1.75 hours of classes per week, director's fees, one hour rehearsal time, choreography, as well as the recital at the end of the year. (Requirements: 1 Mix class)
Rising Stars - Level 1 students who want to get serious about competing. This team will compete, get choreography, and train together. They will have a director who is responsible for 1 hours of rehearsal a week, organizing at least two choreographed numbers, and taking them to the competitions. They will also be invited to participate in the Christmas performance as well. The Rising Stars' fees cover up to 3 hours of classes per week, director's fees, one hour rehearsal time, choreography, as well as the recital at the end of the year. (Requirements: 1 Ballet, 1 Jazz, 1 Tap) - Hip Hop Crew available for an extra fee
Shining Stars - Younger Level 2 and 3 students who want to get serious about competing. This team will compete, get choreography, and train together. They will have a director who is responsible for 2-3.5 hours of rehearsal a week, organizing at least three choreographed numbers, and taking them to the competitions. They will also be invited to participate in the Christmas performance as well. The Shining Stars' fees cover up to 6 hours of classes per week, director’s fees, 2 to 3.5 hours rehearsal time, choreography, as well as the recital at the end of the year. (Requirements: 2 Ballet, 1 Jazz, 2nd Jazz or Hip Hop, 1 Tap) – Hip Hop Crew available for an additional fee
Shooting Stars– Serious level 3 and 4 students who want to compete. They will take classes together, choreography together, and will grow as a team. They will have a director who is responsible for at least 3 hours of rehearsal a week, organizing at least four choreographed numbers of which some will be by outside choreographers, and taking them to the competitions. They will also perform in the Christmas Performance and by invitation to other performances that the Advanced Company is participating in. The Shooting Stars' fees will cover unlimited classes, director’s fees, rehearsal time, choreography, Guest Artists, as well as the recital at the end of the year. (Requirements: 2 Ballet, 1 Jazz, 1 Jazz or HipHop, 1 Tap) – Hip Hop Crew available for an additional fee
PPA Senior ELITE – Level IV and V dancers. By invitation/audition. They will have a director who is responsible for directing the company, organizing and/or leading 3 to 4.5 hours of rehearsals a week, organizing at least five choreographed numbers of which some will be by outside choreographers, will coordinate performances in house and in the community as well as decide which numbers and conventions that the students might want to attend for competition.
